From 2000 to 2014, Dr. Chehade held the position of Chief Dental Surgeon at the McGill University Health Centre. During this time, he led a large multidisciplinary team specializing in dentistry, training residents to provide complex oral and maxillofacial surgical care to patients in the Montreal community.
Currently, Dr. Chehade is an Associate Professor at McGill University and is actively involved in teaching in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the McGill University Health Centre. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Montreal, he is proud to have been a consultant and provider of facial trauma care to players on Montreal’s three professional sports teams.
Dr. Chehade has long been involved in leadership roles with several professional organizations, including the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC), the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CAOMS) and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS). He is also a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Chehade and his wife are proud and busy parents of three children who are currently attending high school, CEGEP and university in Montreal. Dr. Chehade is an avid hockey player, cyclist, and novice triathlete who believes in the importance of maintaining a healthy body to support a healthy mind.
